Why Coconut Husk?
Coconut husk is one of nature’s most underutilized, yet powerful materials. Highly porous and naturally resistant to decay, coconut husk provides excellent aeration, drainage, and moisture regulation—making it an ideal medium for growing orchids and other tropical plants. It promotes healthy root development, prevents overwatering, and helps maintain the delicate balance orchids require to thrive.
Most orchid mixes today rely on materials like bark or peat, which decompose quickly, often come from unsustainable sources, or require chemical treatments. Our husk chips offer a better, more regenerative alternative—pure coconut fiber, processed cleanly and respectfully.
Our Process: From Coconut to Container
Every batch of Coco Cubes orchid chips begins with a fresh, whole coconut. After harvesting, we extract the cream and water, then carefully separate the husks. These husks are:
Rinsed using only clean water—no chemicals or additives
Sun-dried for 2–4 days to preserve fiber structure and eliminate pathogens
Chipped to precise sizes for airflow and consistency
Vacuum-sealed for freshness and ready to use
This slow, natural process ensures that every chip you receive is clean, safe, and ready to support your plants from day one.
